This would be my version of one Rollins’ diary entries from Get in the Van, With the added touch of my own personal scrap booking. Like seriously, I save all kinds of fliers and ticket stubs and photos.
The monsters of shlock flier is kind of an homage to the classic Social Distortion logo:
Speaking of which. Another State of Mind was also part of the research I did for Jam in the Band and again, required viewing.
I think you can watch the whole thing up there. Do it. Not just for the parts about being on tour, but ’cause about mid way through they just start hanging out with some punk kids from the 80’s. And that’s some great ethnography right there.
